About the designer

Ol Mordue (born Aleksandr Mordukhovich) was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and immigrated to the United States in 1999. As mathematician and an economist, he has published nine books and over thirty articles on those topics.

He has simultaneously been working on developing various techniques in the sphere of fine arts and has participated in many exhibits and art festivals throughout the U.S.

In 2022, Ol invented a method for creating reproductions of artworks on three-dimensional canvases and has since created the world's first series of artworks unique due to their use of 3D geometry.

Ol says one of his favorite creators is the living American legend, Frank Gehry. His whimsical and inexhaustible architectural projects serve as a source of inspiration in Ol's creative and inventive processes.

Since March 2023, the Taubman Museum of Art in Virginia owns six of Ol Mordue's works.
